Seven displaced in Kulpmont apartment fire
KULPMONT – Seven people were assisted by the American Red Cross after an apartment fire in this Northumberland County community.
The fire broke out around 11pm Wednesday in the 900 block of Chestnut Street.
Crews from Kulpmont and surrounding communities, including Mount Carmel and Atlas, responded to the scene.
Several cats were rescued from the fire.
The Shamokin News-Item reported that four people were injured and two dogs died in the blaze.
The American Red Cross assisted seven people.
