Caribou to close one Minnesota Avenue location
Caribou Coffee is closing one of its two locations on Minnesota Avenue.
The coffee shop at 31st Street and Minnesota Avenue will close at the end of the day on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Caribou will keep its original Minnesota Avenue location at 28th Street.
The soon-to-be vacant space is 2,567 square feet and includes a drive-thru and patio. Caribou has operated there for almost a decade.
“Minnesota Avenue continues to be a high-traffic corridor in Sioux Falls,” said Ryan Tysdal of Van Buskirk Cos., who has the space listed for lease. “Demand for this area is strong.”
The location benefits from Minnesota Avenue serving as the primary artery into downtown Sioux Falls as well as its proximity to universities and health care facilities, he added.
“Drive-thru endcaps are very sought-after and can be hard to find,” Tysdal said. “This is a great opportunity for a coffee or restaurant tenant.”
