A man who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl has been sentenced to over a decade in prison.
Danylo Boldon, 25, pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct of a person under 14 years old earlier this year. Court documents state Boldon will need to serve at least 10 years of his sentence before being considered for conditional release.
Initially charged on Jan. 30, Boldon reportedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted a girl on October 8, 2024.
On that date, court documents state Minneapolis Police were investigating a report that a 12-year-old girl had gone missing, but were unable to locate her. Later that night, officers were called to another residence where the missing girl had been ringing the doorbell.
The girl told police she had been grabbed by a man who had a rose tattoo on his hand and was forced into a black vehicle, sexually assaulted and then let go near a Burger King on Hiawatha Avenue.
According to court records, investigators later identified the man as Boldon through DNA testing, showing he was a match and a Wisconsin sex offender. Boldon also had a rose tattoo on his hand.
