Henderson man arrested after making threats to neighbor, deputy, school

A Henderson man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he made violent threats toward a neighbor, law enforcement, and threatened self-harm at a local school.
On November 26, a resident on Black Forest Lane reported that 35-year-old Daniel Somsel was outside his home yelling profanities and threatening to rape and kill him. The caller told deputies he had video showing Somsel making the threats toward him, his wife, and an unidentified woman.

When deputies went to Somsel’s residence, he appeared intoxicated, refused to cooperate, and resisted arrest, according to the report. After being taken into custody, Somsel allegedly made repeated threats to kill the deputy transporting him and said that if released, he would go to Pinkston Middle School and commit suicide in front of students.

Somsel was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on two counts of terroristic threatening, one count of disorderly conduct, and one count of resisting arrest. Authorities say the threats made during transport led to an additional count of terroristic threatening. Bond is set at $10,000.
