DRUMS – The first grade classes from Arthur Street Elementary School in Hazleton brought joy, smiles, and holiday spirit to the residents of Fritzingertown Senior Living Community in Drums Monday morning.
Students spent time visiting with residents, sharing warm greetings, and celebrating the season together.
“It was truly heartwarming to see our students brighten the day for the residents,” said Dr. Brian T. Uplinger, Superintendent of Schools. “Moments like these show the power of kindness and community, especially during the holidays. Our first graders made us incredibly proud.”
The visit created a meaningful intergenerational moment that touched both students and residents. Teachers and staff described the event as a highlight of the season.
