Legion Christmas shopping event for veterans returns Wednesday


The Alley-White American Legion Post 52 in Mountain Home will hold its 5th annual Christmas Shopping Event for veterans from Wednesday through Saturday from 10 to 2. Veterans enrolled in the VA system, living in nursing homes, disabled or low-income are invited to choose Christmas gifts for immediate family, completely free. Pre-registration is requested, but not required. The event takes place at 717 Market Street.Alley-White Post 52 is known for offering year-round support to those who’ve served, including a veterans’ food pantry, outreach to disabled or low-income veterans, and community support for local military families.
