Kline, facing overflow crowd, abruptly cancels meeting featuring data center proposal
Kline Township Supervisors met at 4pm Monday and were set to hear a presentation from Amazon Data Service, Inc. regarding plans for a data center near Lofty.
Several dozen people crowded the small meeting space at the township building on 5th Street I’m Kelayres, spilling into 5th Street.
Shortly after the meeting began, John Zola, Sugarloaf, said municipal meetings are required to accommodate however many citizens attend.
Solicitor Mark Semanchik’s offered solution was to cancel the meeting. Supervisors agreed.
The meeting will be held at a later date, which was not mentioned.
Supervisors also were set to consider an action to take what they referred to as the “unimproved section of Snyder Ave to connect with Marcus Court.”
