A man has died after a crash in Sauk Rapids Township on Thursday, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities responded to a T-bone accident at the intersection of Mayhew Lake Road and 15th Street Northeast on Thursday evening.
According to police, 48-year-old Bradley Thoennes was trying to turn left onto 15th Street when his Nissan Altima was hit by a Ford pickup truck, driven by a 43-year-old. Thoennes was brought to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The other driver was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There was a passenger in the Nissan as well; he was not injured in the crash.
