GE Enhances UltraFast Combo

The two-in-one laundry product gets updated inside and out

GE Profile is building upon its UltraFast Combo washer/dryer platform with two new finishes and five new downloadable wash cycles.

The CES Innovation Award-winning product, which features ventless heat pump technology, is now available in sapphire blue and jade green, bringing “a vibrant, design-forward aesthetic and personality to the laundry space,” the manufacturer said. Like the original carbon graphite finish, the new options were rigorously tested for durability, lighting interaction and long-term color integrity, GE noted.

In addition, GE is leveraging the UltraFast Combo’s connected, Wi-Fi capability to provide owners with five additional, downloadable laundry cycles using the SmartHQ app. Designed to further meet real-life laundry needs, the new cycles include:  

• Kids Wear: Heavy-duty cleaning for tough stains while preserving vibrant colors 
• Hand Wash: Gentle care for delicate items
• Drain & Spin: Removes excess water before sensor-driven drying 
• Sweat Stains: Extra agitation for stubborn stains 
• King-Sized Comforter: Cold water wash and max spin for faster drying of bulky items 

To keep performance at its peak, GE Profile has also introduced smart maintenance alerts, including notifications for drain pump and lint filter cleaning, plus an “Out of Balance” alert to help correct uneven loads and improve dry times.

Engineered for speed and simplicity, the UltraFast Combo earns its name by completing a wash-and-dry cycle in as little as 90 minutes.

The unit carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $2,999, although a simplified model with streamlined features and a white finish is available for $2,599 list.
