Deck collapses on car after crash in Brooklyn Park; driver critically hurt

A driver was in critical condition on Thursday after his vehicle crashed into the deck of a house, which then collapsed onto the vehicle.

According to Brooklyn Park Police, the crash happened at 10:42 a.m. near the intersection of of West Broadway and 62nd Avenue North.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle that had crashed into the deck of a nearby house, causing the deck to then fall onto the vehicle.

Officers were able to locate the driver of the vehicle, an adult man, and pulled him from the car; he was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

At this time, the cause of the crash is unknown, and authorities are still investigating.
