INDIANAPOLIS — December 3, 2025
A man was shot during an apparent road rage incident on Indianapolis’ south side last week while traveling on an Interstate 465 ramp, according to the Indiana State Police.
Just before midnight on Nov. 25, 2025, troopers were dispatched to the ramp from westbound I-465 to Mann Road on a report of a person shot, the agency said in a news release Tuesday.
The victim was taken by vehicle to a local hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition, police said.
A preliminary investigation indicates the victim was allegedly shot after a road rage confrontation on the ramp. The suspect left the area in a light-colored passenger car.
The victim had been riding in a white Chevrolet Equinox, which sustained damage on the passenger side consistent with gunfire, according to state police. Photos released by investigators show visible damage to the SUV.
Anyone who was in the area between 11 p.m. and 11:25 p.m. that night, or who may have seen the vehicles involved, is asked to contact law enforcement. Tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 317-327-6160 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477 (TIPS).

. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to a felony arrest. Only tips submitted directly and anonymously to Crime Stoppers qualify for rewards.
State police said the case remains an active, ongoing investigation and that no further information is being released at this time.
