West Hazleton community joins together for tree lighting

WEST HAZLETON – The jolly old elf himself is making his rounds of the anthracite coalfields. Monday night’s stop was in West Hazleton.

Carolers sang Christmas songs at the Christmas tree at Broad Street and Winters Avenue coming into town from Shenandoah.

Soon after, Santa, aboard a West Hazleton fire engine, arrived and joined the community as they counted town until the tree was alight.
