BREAKING: Massive fire engulfs Mount Carmel homes

MOUNT CARMEL – Firefighters are battling a multi-alarm blaze in Mount Carmel at this hour.

Crews were called to the 200 block of South Poplar Street around 1am.

Flames engulfed multiple homes as firefighters arrived.

Multiple alarms have been struck, drawing crews from across Northumberland and Schuylkill counties to the scene, including from Shenandoah, Ashland and Mahanoy City.
