How to create a recurring task in Zoho Projects
I have several clients with whom I need to catch up and discuss where a project is and what is due next and in the near future. As I have a project all set up for this it seems absolutely daft to go to another application of a calendar to set up reminders. So for each client, the time may be different, but all I have to do is set up a recurring task with the time scale in to remind me, or even send an email all by itself.
Here is a very simple project example.
The 4th stage is the monthly invoicing task, which needs to be completed by the 16th of each month.
This task window looks like this.
Above is the task with hardly anything assigned as yet.
Here is the new window.
In the recurrence section you have three options on the right and three settings that can be set.
On the right of this title you will find the word None. Click on the dropdown arrow to expand the selection.
The default setting is None.
You can choose a, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly recurrence.
This next part is allowing you to set the intervals you need.
So if you had set daily in the previous section, you now can set a recurrence for every other day, or every 7th day. You can only select up to the number 15.
Here is where you can state that you only need to have this happen up to 30 times. You also have the ability to say that it never ends.
Review your settings.
As soon as the first occurrence is complete Projects creates the next task for you, adding it to your task list.
