With 76 percent of voters opposing the measure to add a half-cent sales tax next year as the current tax sunsets in February, the judge says the outcome reflects a vote of confidence in the work being done in the county.

A Procedures and Management meeting Thursday evening will focus on the specific language in the two ordinances for the proposed center. Judge Stumph says he hopes by December the ordinances will be voted on by the Quorum court with the citizens of Marion County casting their votes in the March primary next spring.
