Illinois SNAP recipients must prove work or volunteer hours to keep benefits

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is operational again following the recent shutdown, but new requirements starting next month will change who can receive benefits and the number of hours recipients must work each month to qualify.
