The Minnesota State Patrol said a woman driving in the wrong direction on Highway 169 was killed after crashing into another vehicle.
The State Patrol said the crash occurred around 9:52 p.m. near Anderson Lakes Parkway in Bloomington Saturday night.
According to the crash report, a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM was driving in the wrong direction, heading south on the highway’s northbound lanes, when it made contact with a northbound Hyundai Sonata.
After being struck by the Pontiac, the Hyundai was pushed into a Ford F150, resulting in a three-vehicle crash.
The driver of the Hyundai sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The two occupants of the Ford were not injured in the crash.
However, the driver of the Pontiac, 29-year-old Jamine Jayde Nanclares of Shakopee, was declared dead at the scene of the crash.
The State Patrol says they do not know if Nanclares was wearing her seatbelt or if she had been intoxicated at the time of the crash.
