Utility worker fatally struck while directing traffic in Bella Vista

BELLA VISTA, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Update: The utility worker who was struck on Nov. 7 along Lancashire Boulevard near Burton Lane has died, according to his family.

The family has confirmed the utility worker’s identity as James “Keaton” Lawson, 30. The incident occurred on Nov. 7 along Lancashire Boulevard near Burton Lane, where Lawson was struck while directing traffic, according to the Bella Vista Police Department.

He was hospitalized following the collision. Family confirmed that Lawson passed away on Nov. 8.

The family requests privacy at this time and asks for prayers for Lawson’s surviving daughter and loved ones. A close family friend has created a GoFundMe to support his family.

No arrests have been made as of Nov. 9 at 9:30 p.m.

The department said the investigation is ongoing, and no further information has been released at this time.
