Electrolux Names New North America Chief

Patrick Minogue to succeed Ricardo Cons in January

Electrolux has picked a new head of its North America business as part of a regrouping of global region chiefs.

Patrick Minogue, an appliance industry outsider, will succeed Ricardo Cons on Jan. 1. Cons took the North America helm three years ago after successfully revitalizing the company’s Latin America operations and now plans to retire.

Minogue joins Electrolux from Keurig Dr Pepper, where he served as president of the beverage maker’s $4 billion U.S. coffee business. During his decade-long tenure there, he grew the category, accelerated e-commerce sales and scaled direct-to-consumer operations, Electrolux noted.

Prior to that, Minogue held senior positions within Bacardi and MillerCoors, where he lead “commercial transformation, customer marketing and brand management,” the Swedish appliance giant said.

“I’m pleased to welcome Patrick to the team,” said Electrolux President/CEO Yannick Fierling. “Patrick brings a bold forward-looking approach and deep business insight that will inspire our teams and accelerate our progress as we continue to challenge the industry and ourselves.”

Minogue, who holds a master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in history from Harvard, will be based in Charlotte, N.C., where he will report directly to Fierling.

He joins three other newly appointed region heads, overseeing operations in Europe, the Middle East/Africa and Asia/Pacific, who, along with the CEO, will comprise the company’s group management team.

Fierling said the reorganization was designed “to place our customers even more firmly at the center of everything we do” and to “strengthen our regional capabilities and further advance our strategic priorities in an evolving global market.”
