Weekend front to bring HUGE temperature drop
Friday temperatures: Temperatures will stay warm on both Friday and Saturday ahead of the front. Look for lows both Friday and Saturday mornings to ease into the upper 50s to lower 60s. Daytime highs will likely soar into the low to middle 80s. Normal lows at this time of year are in the upper 40s, and highs are in the lower 70s.
Sunshine to stick around: It still doesn’t look like we will see much hope for rain as the front moves through. Futurecast shows that we will see more low clouds develop late Thursday night into Friday morning. They will give way to plenty of sunshine that will be seen for most of the days. The clouds will likely redevelop Friday night and then decrease again on Saturday. The weekend will end with sunshine and cooler temperatures on Sunday.
Long-range outlook: Much of the ArkLaTex will be near or even below freezing on Sunday and Monday nights. Overnight lows will be in the upper 20s to low 30s, with a few locations staying in the middle 30s. The coolest day will be on Monday when highs will likely stay in the 50s.
We will then see a warming trend late next week with daytime highs once again approaching 80 degrees. Overnight lows late next week will warm back into the 50s. Some models are indicating that a little rain will be possible next Saturday night into Sunday. If we get rain, it will be rather limited. Stay tuned!
