SALT LAKE CITY (
ABC4) — Happy Monday, Utah! Our Monday afternoon will feature partly sunny skies and a light southwest wind.
This will help to send temperatures across northern Utah into the lower 60s. Highs will warm into the mid 70s for SW Utah.
Our Veteran’s Day will feature partly sunny skies and even warmer temperatures. Highs will warm into the mid 60s for northern Utah, with highs climbing into the mid 70s once again for SW Utah Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday will feature a few more clouds streaming across the skies as we start to feel the impacts of our next weather maker. Along with the clouds, gusty SW winds will begin to move into W and SW Utah during the day.
Overall, look for a few more clouds, windy conditions, and warm temperatures. Highs will warm into the mid-upper 60s for northern Utah and into the low to mid 70s for SW Utah.
Thursday will feature increasing clouds throughout the day along with the gusty southwest winds, and the final warm day, before the storm arrives. Highs will be in the mid 60s for northern Utah with highs climbing into the lower 70s for southern Utah.
A strong cold front looks to target the state Thursday night into Friday bringing increasing rain chances state-wide. This front will bring a wind shift and a significant temperature drop Friday night into the weekend. Highs on Friday will only be in the mid 40s across northern Utah and highs only in the mid 50s for southern Utah!
Snow levels will likely drop throughout the day on Friday, so mountain accumulating snowfall looks to be a possibility for our mountains state-wide. If any lingering moisture is leftover Friday night into Saturday morning, we could even see a few snowflakes mix in down to the valley floors. Of course, this system is still way up near the Gulf of Alaska, so changes are possible.
Either way, looks like after this weekend we enter a more wetter and colder pattern for the second half of November.
