Keep Bossier Beautiful, in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, is hosting “Plant a Tree, Plant A Flag,” a tree and American flag giveaway to celebrate Veterans Day 2025 and the United States’ 250th birthday in 2026.
“Trees are vital to Louisiana’s environment, economy, and quality of life,” a press release stated. “They improve air and water quality, mitigate climate change, and provide habitat for wildlife. Additionally, trees contribute to community well-being through beautification, recreational opportunities, and even mental health benefits.”
The event will take place on Saturday, November 8, at Haughton Middle School, 250 Champion Shrs in Haughton, and Saturday, November 15, at Airline High School, 2801 Airline Dr. in Bossier City. Each day begins at 8 a.m. and runs while supplies last.
