CDCR hunts for inmate missing from Los Angeles County conservation camp
Staff members were notified that Alejandro A. Tobarfuentes was discovered missing from the camp at around 10 p.m., the CDCR stated in a news release.
“Staff immediately initiated an emergency count, confirming Tobarfuentes was not at the camp,” the CDCR said.
Agents were sent within minutes to search for Tobarfuentes, who was sent to the camp in May after he was sentenced in Orange County to four years and eight months for first-degree burglary and displaying a forged driver’s license or ID.
Notification of Tobarfuentes’ disappearance was also sent to local law enforcement.
Tobarfuentes is 33 years old, stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 164 pounds, according to the CDCR. He has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a gray sweatshirt and an orange beanie.
Anyone who sees Tobarfuentes or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911 or contact Special Agent S. Rojas at 909-727-1947.
