More than 5,000 customers without power in Fremont, traffic lights go dark

(KRON) — More than 5,000 customers are without power in Fremont Saturday morning due to an ongoing outage.

Traffic is backing up in areas where traffic signals have gone dark. The Fremont Police Department is advising drivers to avoid Mission and Warm Springs boulevards.

“This has caused significant traffic backups and other issues,” Fremont PD said. “There is no current estimated time frame on the restoration of the traffic signals.”
