Man dies after slipping, falling off edge of Grand Canyon
GRAND CANYON NAT’L PARK, Ariz. (ABC4) — A 65-year-old man fell to his death at Grand Canyon National Park’s West Rim on Thursday, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 2 p.m. on Nov. 6, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office received a call to help the Hualapai Nation in a technical recovery at Guano Point, a viewpoint on the western rim of the Grand Canyon. A 65-year-old man had reportedly slipped and fallen over the edge into the canyon and was deceased.

“Search and Rescue responded and located him about 130 feet down on a scree pile,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “Technical rope technicians set up a lowering and raising system using ropes to recover him and convey the body to the Mohave County Medical Examiners Office.”
