Cold front to bring windy and cold conditions to Lafayette
Monday will continue the dry and windy conditions, but temperatures will be much lower. In the morning, many areas will drop into the upper 30s with gusty winds around 15 mph. Make sure you are bundled up as highs only reach the mid 50s. A light freeze is possible for inland areas Tuesday morning with widespread frost for Acadiana. But, winds shift out of the south Tuesday afternoon leading to a dramatic warm up into the 60s.
For the remainder of the week, spring-like weather settles in with sun and clouds mixing, afternoons warm and windy with temperatures near 80, and a few showers possible, especially as we head into next weekend. Fog will be likely Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings as humidity builds back across the area.
