A Brainerd man involved in a single-vehicle crash was killed Friday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 56-year-old man from Brainerd was driving a 2004 Honda Civic on Highway 18, east of County Road 144 in Oak Lawn Township.
While traveling west, the vehicle reportedly went off the highway and struck a tree, killing the driver. There were no other occupants inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The driver was identified by authorities as William James Gardner.
