Vernon Parish arrests include battery and narcotics charges
LEESVILLE, La. (WNTZ) — The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office has released its latest arrest report, detailing several arrests made between Nov. 4 and Nov. 6, 2025.
According to Sheriff Sam Craft, the following individuals were taken into custody:
Nov. 4, 2025: Maggie Lynn Hernandez, 28, of Conroe, Texas, was arrested and charged with one count of simple battery. Her bond was set at $1,281, which she posted before being released.

Nov. 5, 2025: Thomas Lewing, 43, of Leesville, was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule II narcotic and possession of a Schedule III narcotic. His bond was set at $10,000, and he remains in the Vernon Parish Jail.
Nov. 6, 2025: Melissa Ayesha Mitchell, 46, of Leesville, was arrested and charged with driving on a roadway laned for traffic and possession of a Schedule I narcotic. Her bond was set at $2,196, and she remains in the VPSO jail. Carolyn Ann Talbott, 57, of Hornbeck, was arrested and charged with one count of identity theft. Her bond has not yet been set, and she also remains in the Vernon Parish Jail.
