Gresham resident Jonathan Ramirez-Cisneros, 18, and an unnamed 15-year-old suspect were both arrested and accused of assault and other charges in connection with an incident on Oct. 9.
The Portland Police Bureau said they responded to a reported assault near 1500 NW 13th Ave. When officers arrived, they found a man with serious head injuries telling police he was assaulted by two people who punched and pistol-whipped him. A handgun magazine was found at the scene and seized by police as evidence.
Then on Oct. 24, a Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted Ramirez-Cisneros.
On Friday, PPB was assisted by the East Metro SWAT to serve a warrant at the suspects’ home, officials said. They arrested Ramirez-Cisneros and the 15-year-old suspect, booking them both into their respective jails.
Ramirez-Cisnero was lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center and faces charges that include second- and third-degree assault, first-degree attempted assault, unlawful use of a weapon and harassment. The 15-year-old was lodged in the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home and charged with second- and third-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
