Storms possible early Sunday; Bitter cold temperatures next week

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) Happy Friday! We are tracking isolated showers and storms for the rest of the evening. Some of our playoff football games may be impacted.

Weekend: This unsettled pattern will continue this weekend. A second front will arrive Sunday morning.

This cold front will bring a line of isolated storms early Sunday morning. Behind the front, temperatures will only warm up into the lower 70s.

Next Week: We

are already focused on our first cold snap of the season. Readings will drop into the 30s by Monday morning. Wind chill temperatures will be in the low 20s in some areas. Readings will not get out of the 40s that afternoon.

Tuesday is set to be our coldest morning with 20s in the forecast. Highs will be a bit warmer, reaching into the 50s. Conditions will slowly warm up by the end of the week.
