Authorities in Dakota County say a shelter-in-place was advised on Wednesday night after a man with a shotgun knocked on the door of a home in Ravenna Township.
Deputies responded to a report around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Red Wing Boulevard and 200th Street. The man was holding a shotgun and demanded a can of gasoline, authorities added.
A shelter-in-place alert was sent out as a precaution while law enforcement searched the area, but the suspect wasn’t found.
He was described as being a white man in his mid-20s with a patchy beard. He was wearing a baseball cap, glasses, and a dark-colored plaid shirt.
Anyone who may have any information or who saw or heard anything unusual is asked to contact authorities at CrimeAndWarrantTips@co.dakota.mn.us.
