Live! in the Community with the Cares Krewe supports Roy's Kids
“Cares Krewe is coming through. Cares Krewe is coming through. Cares Krewe is coming through,” chanted the team as they walked towards our local community member.
Mike Powell, founder of Roy’s Kids, is helping save the 318 every day with his community efforts.
Live! in the Community with the Cares Krewe delivered much-needed supplies to help fill the Roy’s Kids warehouse shelves.
“Back to school is my favorite because the kids are different. I mean, if we give out 10 backpacks, one of those kids makes a difference. I got a kid in med school right now that we helped,” shared Powell.
Mike left us with some wise words.
“Keep your kids in school because they are the future. And if they say that I’m not going to get a job because of a college degree, send them to trade school,” shared Powell.
