INDIANAPOLIS — A bus transporting students to an Indianapolis Public Schools high school was involved in a crash on the near west side of Indianapolis on Friday morning.

Officials responded to the crash at around 6:37 a.m. Friday in the 3400 block of W 11th Street. The crash did not result in any injuries to students.

According to a statement from First Student, a company that operated the bus involved in the crash, officials confirmed that a bus was involved “in an incident with another vehicle.”

“We are working collaboratively with Indianapolis Metro Police Department and Indianapolis Public Schools,” the statement from First Student read. “The driver has been removed from service as we conduct our own internal review of the incident. Given this is an active investigation, we are unable to comment further.”

In a statement from IPS, the district confirmed that the bus was transporting students to Arsenal Tech High School.

“A replacement bus was called and is transporting those students to school,” the statement from the district read.
