BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Three people were arrested after a traffic stop in Maringouin led deputies to find guns and drugs, according to Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi.

Stassi said Iberville Parish Narcotics agents pulled over a vehicle during a traffic stop, which resulted in the arrests of Alvin Woolfolk, 23, Mark Hill Jr., 19, and Devon Paul, 22, all from Maringouin.

Woolfolk was charged with obstruction of justice (evidence tampering), possession of a machine gun, flight from an officer, possession of marijuana, and no tail lamps.

Hill and Paul were both charged with obstruction of justice (evidence tampering) and possession of a machine gun.

Stassi said agents seized the firearms, including one equipped with a Glock switch. Illegal drugs were also found during the investigation.
