KEARNS, Utah (ABC4) — A neighborhood in Kearns has been evacuated after police responded to a domestic violence call Thursday morning.

Sergeant Aymee Race with the Unified Police Department shared that at approximately 2 a.m. on Thursday morning law enforcement received a call that a person had returned to a residence in Kearns after a prior domestic violence incident.

“Luckily, at this time, we believe no one else is in the home but the individual who returned,” said Sergeant Race. “They have made some threats so at this point we have asked the public to evacuate within a small area.”

According to Sergeant Race, a SWAT team is on scene working to get the suspect in custody.

This is a developing story. ABC4 will update this post as more information becomes available.
