Actor Simu Liu to serve samples at Costco in Bay Area

(KRON) — If you head to the Costco in Danville Thursday evening, you may notice a longer line at one of the warehouse’s signature sample stands.

Actor Simu Liu will be serving dumpling samples at the East Bay warehouse from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., it was announced on social media.

The Danville Costco is located at 3150 Fostoria Way.

Liu will be giving out dumplings by MìLà. “Come meet Simu in person!” a post by MìLà reads.

Liu announced in 2023 that he was appointed as MìLà’s Chief Content Officer, a role that focuses on “major marketing initiatives.”

The actor’s biggest role to date is widely considered to be when he starred in the 2021 Marvel film “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” That movie takes place primarily in San Francisco and features a viral action scene involving a Muni bus.

  • Weekdays: 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Liu, 36, has been nominated for various honors, such as People’s Choice Awards and MTV Movie + TV Awards, according to IMDb. He boasts more than 6 million combined followers across his Instagram, X and TikTok accounts.
