Wylie High School Principal Reagan Berry sent a letter to parents Wednesday afternoon explaining the situation, saying “I am writing to inform you that a staff member of WHS has been removed from their assigned duties and will not be returning to campus due to a violation of our district policies and professional standards.”
Berry says that further information about the concerns regarding this staff member will not be made public because the she is not at liberty to discuss personnel matters.
However, she does say Wylie ISD has been taking this “very seriously” and working alongside the Abilene Police Department to conduct an investigtion.
There is currently no risk to students, and families that were identified as needing additional information about the concerns have already been contacted.
No further information, including this staff member’s identity, is available at this time.
