SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler will undergo surgery that will render him out for the season.
The Jazz announced Wednesday morning that the rising star’s left shoulder would need to be repaired through surgery after he suffered a labral tear.

The procedure will be performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, in Los Angeles.
Kessler will miss the remainer of the 2025-26 season.

He started in each of the five games he played this season, averaging 14.4 points per game on over 70% from the field, along with over 10 rebounds per game. Kessler also brought a defensive presence to the team recording almost 2 blocks per game in 30 minutes per game.
