Raising Cane’s opening second South Bay location, next to Chick-fil-A

(KRON) — The April opening of Raising Cane’s in San Jose marked the popular fast food chain’s first in the South Bay. Seven months later, another one is opening in the region.

Raising Cane’s is opening in Morgan Hill next week on Tuesday, Nov. 11, according to a press release. It is located at 18575 Skipper Lane, which is about a block away from a fellow fast-food chicken giant: Chick-fil-A.

Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday through Wednesday. Those hours are extended to 3:30 a.m. on Thursday through Saturday.

Those attending the grand opening can win “Free Cane’s for a Year.” The Morgan Hill restaurant has memorabilia on its wall and pays homage to the city, with an Oakwood School jersey hung on its wall.

With the Morgan Hill opening, Raising Cane’s will have seven Bay Area locations open. The company has plans to open in San Francisco and Berkeley. The latter is where Raising Cane’s purchased a $12 million building near UC Berkeley’s campus.

About 40 miles south, Raising Cane’s is opening a new restaurant in Salinas. That is scheduled to open on Nov. 18.

Raising Cane’s was founded in Louisiana in 1996 and opened its first Bay Area location in 2022. The chain has more than 900 restaurants across 40+ states in the United States.
