Massive fallen tree strikes Amazon delivery van in San Francisco

(KRON) — A large tree fell on an Amazon delivery van Tuesday afternoon in San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood, the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) announced. The 30-foot-tall tree knocked down multiple Muni wires and broke a water main.

SFFD crews responded to the scene on Sacramento Street between Jones and Leavenworth streets, where a tree is blocking the roadway, as of 5:30 p.m.

SFFD did not report any injuries from the fallen tree. San Francisco Police Department officers also responded to the scene.

As of 5:30 p.m., the pubic is asked to avoid the area. SFFD first posted about the incident on X at 5:17 p.m.
