Both Riverton City Council races decided by large margins
All results are unofficial, as reported by state election officials.
Alexander A. Johnson defeated Rusty Lance by almost 40 points. All precincts are reporting as of Wednesday morning.
The race did not include an incumbent after Tawnee McCay, the current councilmember, ran for Riverton City Mayor.
Election results show Johnson leading with nearly 70% of the votes, with Lance receiving just under 31%.
With over 70% of the votes, Shannon Smith has defeated Darren J. Park for the Riverton City Council District 4 seat.
The race did not include an incumbent due to the current councilmember, Tish Buroker, entering the Riverton Mayoral race. Buroker faces fellow-councilmember Tawnee McCay in the mayoral race.
