Beloit man charged in fatal Rock County crash

BRADFORD, Wis. (WTVO) – A 15-year-old male is dead after a car crashed into a ditch in Rock County Tuesday afternoon.

Around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said a 17-year-old male from Beloit was driving northbound on S. Emerald Grove Road, just north of E. Larsen Road in the town of Bradford. Police said the vehicle lost control, rolled multiple times and went into the ditch on the west side of the road.

The 15-year-old male was pronounced dead on the scene. According to police, three other passengers were taken to the hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was also treated at a local hospital before being taken into custody. He is charged with one count of Homicide by Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

He is in the Rock County jail.
