APD searching for suspect accused of committing 2 burglaries at Austin apartment complex
According to APD, the burglaries happened at the Bennett Apartments, 7301 South Interstate 35 service road northbound. The first one happened on Oct. 1 at 9:45 a.m., and the second one happened on Oct. 21 around 6:40 p.m.
Police said the alleged suspect “may have been involved in other offenses related to property crime.”
“In both incidents, the suspect made entry into the apartment complex without authorization. While on the premises, the suspect entered the mail room and stole a large number of residents’ packages. This has created a number of challenges for both residents and the apartment complex,” APD said in the release.

Anyone who has information on either case can contact APD’s Commercial Burglary Unit at APDCommercialBurglary@austintexas.gov. An anonymous tip can also be submitted via the Capital Area Crime Stoppers website or by calling 512-472-8477.
A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information that leads to an arrest, according to police.
