Duncan defeated his opponent, Henry McClure, at a vote of 75% during the election on Nov. 4. He will now serve as the next mayor of Topeka, replacing the current Mayor Mike Padilla.
Duncan is a Topeka native and lobbyist who has served on the city council since 2018. His platform centers around public safety, property tax reduction, infrastructure improvements, transparency in city government, housing and code enforcement and providing high quality constituent services. He will begin his term in January of 2026.
