CFD crews battling large apartment fire on city’s North Side
CHICAGO (WGN) – The Chicago Fire Department battled a large apartment fire on the city’s North Side.

Crews said the fire broke out at a three-story apartment building located in the 5000 block of North Troy Street in Albany Park.

SkyCam 9 flew over the scene and saw flames shooting from the roof of the building.

Firefighters were seen on the roof of the building with what appeared to be axes, surrounded by smoke and flames.

The fire has since been extinguished.

Ambulances were also spotted at the scene, but no injuries have been reported at this time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No other information was released.
