Due to record breaking rain, ARUP Blood Services is hosting a coat drive in November and asking donors for coats, scarves, or gloves as donations.
Donations can be dropped off at:
ARUP Blood Services is the sole provider to the University of Utah Health and the Huntsman Cancer Institute, giving over 25,000 blood products to the institute.
The service is asking those who have never donated blood before, or those who haven’t given recently, to make an appointment.
ARUP Blood Services shared that giving blood ensures that lifesaving blood products are available for patients at local hospitals.
The donor centers are open seven days a week throughout the month November, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day.
