74-year-old seriously injured in Coffey Co. crash

COFFEY COUNTY (KSNT) – A 74-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Coffey County on Monday.

Around 3:15 p.m., the 74-year-old was driving a Buick Enclave south on Wayside Road approaching 12th Road and failed to yield at the stop sign, striking a Ram 3500 that was traveling west, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP).

The 74-year-old and the 75-year-old were taken to a Topeka hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Ram had minor injuries, according to the KHP.

Everyone involved in the crash was reported to be wearing seatbelts by the KHP.
