The Madison County Sheriff’s Department said crews were called Tuesday afternoon to a field in the 4200 block of N. 100 West, which is just north of Anderson, for a reported plane crash.
Upon arrival, officials said they found a small aircraft on fire in a nearby field. The plane had reportedly crashed into a tree line before hitting the ground.
The Sheriff’s Department did not immediately provide any other information. FOX59/CBS4 is now looking to confirm more details.
