With new voting laws in effect, here's where to go and what to know before Election Day
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — In early 2025, the state passed a law that brought several changes to how Utahns vote. Here’s what you need to know before election day.

Mail-in ballots must be received before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, in order to count. H.B. 300 eliminated the postmark deadline, instead requiring ballots to be received by county clerks by the deadline.
“A ballot that is mailed must be received by the election officer on or before 8 p.m. on election day,” the bill says.
Ballots returned to a drop box still have until 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
Election day vote centers will open on Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 7 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m. Valid identification is required. Eligible voters may vote at any center listed below:

Weber County election officials are reminding voters that ballots submitted to drop boxes do not have to meet the updated mail-in requirements and can be submitted any time before 8 p.m. Tuesday to be counted.
Election Day in-person voting can be done at the following locations:
