Traffic stop leads to drug bust on Wilkesboro Highway

STATESVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A deputy with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a woman, who did not have a valid driver’s license, Thursday on Wilkesboro Highway.

During the stop, K9 Aida quickly indicated that there were drugs inside the truck.

When deputies searched the vehicle, they found approximately 66.7 grams of methamphetamine, 2,49 grams of heroin, nine Xanax pills, several drug pipes, and a digital scale hidden inside.

Susan Montgomery was taken into custody, and is being held without bond due to outstanding charges.
